With stories from the festival founders and musicians, and photos from Jay Blakesberg and other Bay Area luminaries, The Big Twang documents this free festival’s first quarter century. Michael Shapiro with moderate a panel featuring photographer Jay Blakesberg, book designer and musician Avery Hellman, and the book’s narrative director, Dr. Tricia Hellman Gibbs, founder of the SF Free Clinic and daughter of festival founder Warren Hellman. The event will feature a brief slideshow and live music from Avery who is festival founder Warren’s granddaughter. Just like the festival, this is a free event!
